A little about me;

My name is John McVey. I’m a German-born Scotsman, currently living in the northeast of that bonny land, but originally from the west coast. John, I am known by, so now we’ve been properly introduced, you may enjoy this little place in my company, should you so desire. If you want to know about me, here’s where you’ll find out…

As a German-born child brought up in Scotland during the seventies when war memories still lingered within the minds of many within older generations, therefore still influencing the young, my nationality attracted much-unwanted attention. At a time when bullying at school came still within the “boys will be boys” category, little was ever done to counter the attention I received. At around 12years however, my school decided it would be a great idea to eliminate my lingering German accent. So, they sent me to a speech therapist. Such as it was, the innovation of school teachers of the seventies, to utilize a speech therapist in the fight against the school bully. Imagine how the press would react to something like that today!

As a young man, my German accent all but gone, I ventured unto the world.

My young life led me to a particular dislike of prejudice, be it national, religious, or any other kind which seeks to deprive individuals of their right to just be who they are. My personal study over the years finally led to my adopting a mainly non-denominational pagan philosophy, with, however, a particular interest in Wicca.

Most recently, I’ve delved deeply into the world of tarot and divination, although it’s been a serious interest of mine since the early 2000s.

About This Website.

All my research over the years cemented within me the belief that truth can only come from maintaining an open mind and always looking at all sides of an argument. I always make a point of reading perspectives and opinions that I don’t agree with as well as those that I do. I always fact check information and satisfy myself that information is truth before I share it.

This is something that, unfortunately, has been very lacking within mainstream news sources over the years and many if not most people nowadays have lost faith in the information they receive from such sources. More than ever, we all need alternative sources for information that don’t just propagate the mainstream narrative. In the meantime, censorship of such alternative sources is increasing and freedom of speech is in danger of becoming a thing of the past.

I believe it is up to everyone to decide for themselves who they are. We all feel our way through life as best we can, learning and growing as we go. We can’t know everything, but we can learn anything.

Here, I will provide some of those alternative perspectives that are being censored elsewhere. Here, you are encouraged to fact check everything you read, form your own informed opinions and make up your own mind.
